Mercedes is a 30 year native of San Francisco who moved to Austin in 2005, where she's been working as a cutting specialist. Growing up in her father's salon has given her a full range of knowledge and experience in the beauty industry.

Mercedes received her cosmetology license in 2003, and has worked as a stylist in both San Francisco and Austin, gaining a loyal following and rave reviews for her work on Citysearch, Yelp, and Austin360.

If asked, Mercedes would say her best attributes are her humor and ability to listen to what a client wants, and more importantly, to what they don't want. Also, her passion for style and all things pop culture contribute to her knowledge of hair and its many styles throughout the decades. Mercedes' excitement about teaching clients tips, tricks, and how to style their own hair lets them know she really cares about how they look and feel.
